Someone was busy today writing and drawing his observation in his nature book. We used our special insect observation gun to catch insects and look at them through a magnifying glass. We were gentle and returned the insects back where we found them. Today it was all about insect food. We observed a bee collecting nectar (can you see the bee in the third slide), we watched an ant carry another dead ant to take it home as food for winter. We saw leaves that were partially eaten by insects, and noticed insect eggs at the back of other leaves. It was lots of fun and highly scientific 😁 There were so many questions that we still need to find the answer to. Hope tomorrow’s weather is as lovely as today to do some more insect hunting. What did you do today? .
