Eassa@Math

Eassa has been developing his number sense learning one to one correspondence, connecting groups with number names, classification, patterns, conservation (a given number does not change), counting forward and backwards, skip counting etc. These skills form the foundation of whole number development as well as maths facts and mental calculations.
Finding new and engaging ways to include maths means that Eassa is constantly learning in the kitchen, garden, playroom, whilst eating etc. We also do more formal learning like today’s lesson in doubles where all the above maths skills are involved. We take photos and videos, then review them for fun. Eassa loves watching recordings of himself and discussing his learning. I keep track of his progress in a daily diary.
How do you teach your young ones maths? .
