How did we forget the art of giving a piece of our heart to those we love? We did it so freely as children. We had no expectations of return. We grow up to “need” to gain the whole heart of those we love. We gather so many expectations that trample upon our peace of mind.
How did the daisy suddenly become valueless, and is replaced by a $100 dollar note in a fancy envelop? When did gifts become such a hard choice and carried a monetary tag?
If I gift you a yellow daisy made by the Devine hands of God, and nurtured with my own love, would you marvel at my choice? Would you open your eyes wide and exclaim that it’s the best gift ever? Would you place it in a glass jar with water and admire it? Would you?
